Hangouts is the official app from Google that aims to facilitate direct, face-to-face communication between two users. This application replaces the venerable "Google Talk", adding new features to this classic instant messaging tool.

With these new features, Hangout allows you to better express your emotions through a variety of visual content, such as hundreds of photos and emoticons (emoji), from which you can choose the most suitable for your current mood.

As you'd expect from an instant messaging client, Hangout lets you see which of your friends are online, when they're typing, and when messages you've sent have been read. You don't even need to log in to receive a message from another user.

Just like with Google Talk, you can switch from text chat to video conferencing at any time. You can connect with up to ten users at the same time, just press a button and voila: instant video chat.

One of the coolest things about Hangouts is that you can start a conversation with someone on one device and pick up where you left off on another device. In other words, you can start talking to someone using your computer, continue the conversation on your iPad, and end it on your Android smartphone.

Hangouts also allows you to keep records of conversations with each user. This is really very convenient, for example, if you want to save photos that someone shared with you, you can save them in a folder specially designed for this.

One of the main differences between Hangouts and Google Talk that not everyone likes is that Hangouts does not have a "stealth" mode. If you are connected, then you are connected and it is impossible to hide it.

Hangouts is a good app because it's made by Google and has a lot of cool features, it's the new standard communication tool for Android devices. And there is no doubt that this application is able to keep the palm for a long time.
